Movement is my life.
I grew up moving. Constantly. Whether it was horse back riding competitively, playing in the yard with my sisters, or attending dance class. Constant movement. I decided to take my love of music and dance to the professional level and attended NYU’s musical theatre program at CAP21.
Post college, my physical activity floundered as I struggled to find the right fit professionally. I decided that true passion was not in performing, but in the collaboration and movement that let up to the performance. By this point I was overweight, drinking far too much, and unhappy. I decided to make a change: get back to being active and eating right. Slowly but surely, I started to feel better. The confidence I gained allowed me to try new activities, meet an incredible group of friends that love being active as much as I do, and commit to this lifestyle as a profession. Sometimes it takes a minute… or two… to really find your place in the world.
Movement has brought me so much joy. I can only hope that in some small way, I am able to share a glimmer with my clients. Whether I see you one time, or a thousand. Whether it is a one on one session or in a jam-packed class. I want you to feel thankful for your incredible body and the joy that movement brings.
