Melissa’s Favorite Avocado Toast

If you are from NYC, you know, Avocado Toast. Mayo, Chili flakes, maybe a squeeze of lemon. Definitely an egg on top! Here is my creamy dreamy, more nutrient rich and balanced version. I skipped the egg because avocado’s are already high in fat. I usually add alfalfa sprouts for even more veggie goodness, but ya know… rona.

Melissa’s Favorite Avocado Toast

  • Whole Grain Bread (favorite Raleigh local is Yellow Dog Bakery)
  • Roasted Red Pepper Hummus (favorite NC locals are ROOTS or Ithaca)
  • Avocado (duh)
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Black Sea Salt (fancy)
  • Cilantro
  • Squeeze of Lime
  • Sprouts if you have them!

This is a layering thing, guys. No right or wrong. Just stack those ingredients up and enjoy! Happy Brunching!

PS: If your avocados are ripe and you aren’t ready to eat – pop them in the fridge! They will keep for a few days!
